Feast of Tabernacles Coming! Once a year vacation? All lists

"You shall keep the Feast of Booths for seven days,
when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your wine press.

Greetings,

So people that do not keep this feast (or as the word feast mean's appointed time/dress rehearsal of our being with Yeshua) slander the people of the Father by claiming that it is our excuse to take a vacation? Well it is a vacation of sorts because we are supposed to live someplace other than home putting or total trust in the Father…

Deuteronomy 16:13-17 says:

"You shall keep the Feast of Booths for seven days,
when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your wine press.

You shall rejoice in your feast,
you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant,
the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your towns.

For seven days you shall keep the feast to the Lord your God at the place that the Lord will choose,
because the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands,
so that you will be altogether joyful
.

"Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose:
at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths.
They shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God that he has given you.

The Lord outlines his instructions about this feast three times, in Leviticus 23, Numbers 29 and Deuteronomy 16. It is a time that he wants his people to recognize what they have by offering food from their harvest, and it is a time when he has commanded his people to REJOICE! God wants us to go through this process of remembering, gathering, thanking, giving, and rejoicing.

And most scholars would agree that the Feast of Tabernacles is symbolic of Christ's Second Coming when He will establish His earthly kingdom.

There are also some who believe that it was likely during the Feast of Tabernacles that Yeshua was born. So we are doing a dress rehearsal of that coming wonderful time!

Now while most that keep that feast save money all year for it being a Mission Church it is hard for us to do as so much is required to help the poor and the homeless, you see the work comes first in our lives and everything revolves around this

Tasting the Joy of the Age to Come

Zechariah foretold of a time when all nations will ascend to Jerusalem each year to "worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles" (14:16). Thus we also keep Sukkot now because of this future prophetic purpose. Throughout the Messianic Age, the entire world will celebrate this feast because it will mark the return of Jesus to the earth. But for now, Christians flocking to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles is a powerful statement of faith demonstrating that we believe the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus is coming.

So this is the only time of year that we close the Mission Church…so is it a vacation: well you could call it that but it is a vacation practice for the vacations of all vacations when Yeshua returns! J

So with us we have been blessed in previous years by supporters donating something for us to do anything, I have no personal wealth as everything we have goes towards or course raising the family (finally I am down to just one great son left at home  he is 16 almost 17) with the Mission Church coming first.

This year we do not plan on going out of state, generally we only do this when something for the feast comes early…but this year we have received nothing which really does not bug me as I believe we do what HE provides for period. This year we will build a tabernacles at home and maybe at a close lake depending on the funds we have…

A brother who cannot afford to go anywhere is building a Tabernacles at the Mission Church and will tabernacle there…What we would like to do is fix a one day feast comparable to Thanksgiving for the people at the Mission Church.. The first year we had this building 10 years ago… we opened and let people sleep on the floor all during the feast and lived there with them and had some teachings about this great Feast….we have not been able to afford this again…it would be nice to have a one day feast with them this year…

Nothing is cut in stone with us so to speak as we just wait and see what he provides, BUT we will celebrate this feast with great joy, oh wait it is also called the "SEASON OF OUR JOY" J

Anyway may all of you have a great feast and pray you discover the wonderful truth's of the Father's appointed times, if you donate for the feast please let us know that your donation is for this purpose!

ALSO let us know where you are going as sometimes we are able to sneak away and drop in to various feasts! SO where is everyone going!

Lift us in prayer, help if you can

In HIS Perfect Peace,

Pastor Dan Catlin
