The pastor and the woman
Wow again really busy, so many people with so many needs, thought the pastor as he arrived at the overcrowded Mission Church….with 40 chairs in the main room and two benches that 6 people can crowd on why these folks just keep coming with such overcrowding is amazing….
KJV 1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
With new faces daily he just heard from one woman who was helping in the kitchen, "It's like the new thing to come hang out Tuesday and Friday's it like what are you doing today..oh headed to hang out at the pastors" really he thinks new thing they have been coming for 15 years like this, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less but new he laughed….
Today an elder who helps with the pastor's job and opens the door before he arrives points out to him "there is a woman who is on a two day leave from the hospital, she has an infected arm and hand from some sort of wound, they are going to amputate when she goes back in"
That stabbed the pastor's heart "what she must have gangrene" he replied "yes I think that is what she said, she is hard to understand because of all the crying" replied the elder….
Many things happened after that during the day like making dinner for up to 70 so while he kept and eye open for her he did not find her till the day was almost gone…
Finally he is able to find her as she was really on her way out, he noticed her because of the crying…
When he saw her he asked what the Problem was, but with all the crying it was very hard to understand her topped with the pastor's very bad hearing, so he said "do you want me to pray for you"
KJV JAMES 5:
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
So he led her into the office to pray, picking up the anointing oil he told her "this is anointing oil, is that ok" , she replying back in many tears while talking very fast he could barely make out what she was saying, other than things like two days, infection, but he understood even though looking at the hand and the thumb as it looked terrible but by faith he already felt she would keep her hand, and wrist…so he anointed her and prayed…..
KJV JAMES 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. 9Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
After the payer she looked a little calmer but how can one be calm when there whole world is about to crash down on them….
A few Mission days later it was reported to him that she had been back and indeed she still had her hand….AMEN the pastor thought about it…smiling and praising the FATHER…then there she was asking for gloves and a pair of socks..he looked at her noticing she also wore a leather coat he had just placed in the clothing closest he said to her "sure come here" talking her into the office where she said "look I still have my hand" wow he thought as he looked at her hand and thumb which before were rotted healing very nicely, she utter much excited but he did make out " the doctor was in as state of shock, he is going to send me to a special plastic surgeon when it is all the way healed" cool he said thinking he really did not think she would need the other doctor as he was filling in where the skin was once rotted …THIS is what it's all about, it is so worth struggling and doing without to see the FATHER gloried by praying in the SON YESHUA'S mighty name…yes seeing this was worth all the gold in the world, truly feeling so glad he has been allowed to serve…
JAMES 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
